What is Press Release and why do I need it?

As my marketing and speaking agency kept growing I knew we needed to add one more piece to the puzzle.

Public Relations.

As a past Publicist and current Marketing Expert I kept dragging out this part of my agency.

Seems silly as Media and creating super stars gives me a buzz of excitement!

Honestly, I think a lot of it had to do with my past.

Back in 2009/2010 I was a publicist for a well-known Global Business Coach and when we grow and evolve in our careers we think we’ve outgrown some past roles.

This was one of them.

Majority of it was my ego but most of all it pertained to a past negative emotion that showed up from that role in my life.

I poured my heart and soul into that career and created a lot of opportunities for my past boss, some which were never appreciated.  So, a part of me got on my high horse and claimed that I would never be a publicist for anyone ever again, (insert hands on hips here) and that I would need my OWN publicist one day!

Well isn’t that a petty and childish way of thinking?

Especially since communication and writing is a strength of mine.

So, I climbed off that high horse and realized that a part of me is wired to be a natural promoter and I’m extremely gifted at branding public figures, so why not get the press involved while blowing up their brand at the same time?

It’s a win-win as a speaker agent.

My clients gain more visibility and their career explodes, along with their paid speaking engagements.  It gets easier and easier to sell your goods when your name brand soars!

So back to Press Release and why you need it.

I used the think that it was just a blog posted on a site somewhere, until I was educated on the topic.

That won’t do the job my dears, unless it’s a major blog site like Huffington Post.

I’m going to simplify this, so I don’t lose anyone with SEO terms and focus keywords.

Press Release is writing a newsworthy article (300-400 words) of your current promotion, business idea, launch and more and then using focused keywords so that your brand shows up in Google searches in hopes to be picked up by a Journalist, Reporter or News Station.

How awesome would it be to have your name show up when someone searches for a “health keynote speaker” or “business consultant” or even “published author”? I know I’m being vague, but you get the idea.

Most of all, when our agency writes your Press Release we submit it to major networks such as CBS, NBC, Fox and major news journals so that there is a very good chance that your topic could be picked up and re-released on a television show or have a featured article in their publication.

The sky is the limit!  In fact, our Press Release is shown on over hundreds of networks globally!

If it’s written correctly then it will show up naturally in Google searches as well.

So, if you want to be known, you first must be SEEN and that’s what we specialize in my dear super stars.

Getting YOU seen!

Ready to announce to the world about your next launch, website, product, book or service?

Maybe you just want to re-launch a product as it was never launched with Press before?
